Asia stocks climb tracking Wall St rally; Nikkei hits record high, China GDP beats
Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr), which rose 4.44% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) added 3.23% or 0.13 points to end at 4.00 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was up 2.79% or 0.06 points to 2.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr), which fell 4.11% or 0.60 points to trade at 14.00 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 3.78% or 0.01 points to end at 0.32 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was down 2.82% or 0.32 points to 11.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 63 to 62 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 2.13% or 67.61 to $3,245.11 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.18% or 0.11 to hit $60.18 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.10 to trade at $63.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.33% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.84% at 99.76.
